Our Approach
Here at Lacey Wellness we work to shift the traditional disease centered focus of medical care to a more patient centered approach. We address the whole person rather than just an isolated set of symptoms as is typical in traditional medicine. We focus not only on treating the patient’s current complaints, but also consider the patient’s history and lifestyle to prevent disease through nutrition, diet, exercise, stress management and other lifestyle modifications.
- Nutrition– Food plays a fundamental role in health, wellness and the body’s ability to function optimally. Poor choices lead to chronic inflammation and chronic disease.
- Exercise– Movement & strength is critical to health and longevity.
- Sleep– Quality sleep is vital to restore and repair our bodies.
- Stress management– Chronic stress can significantly impact our health and our body’s ability to heal.
- Social connections– Healthy relationships and social connections are known to improve overall health and longevity.
- Supplements & Medication– We prefer individualized supplementation (supplemental to a healthy diet), but sometimes prescribed medications are required to obtain balance.
